About Sivakumar Nadarajan

Dr. Sivakumar Nadarajan brings over 19 years of global engineering experience across aerospace, marine, automotive, and industrial sectors. His work focuses on developing advanced electrical systems, electrification technologies, and intelligent condition monitoring solutions for complex engineering platforms.

During his tenure at Rolls-Royce Singapore Pte. Ltd., he held leadership roles including Technical Manager and Head of Centre of Excellence – Electrical Equipment Health Monitoring, contributing to initiatives in reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and advanced system health monitoring technologies.

He is currently an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, supporting Electrical Engineering and Naval Architecture programmes, while collaborating with industry partners on applied research addressing challenges in electrification, marine EV charging, electric drives, and industrial monitoring systems.

Dr. Nadarajan has filed 40 patents in the United States and Europe and published over 50 research papers in international journals and conferences. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards including the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award, the IES Prestigious Engineering Award (Singapore), and the Sir Henry Royce Award for Innovation and Engineering Excellence from Rolls-Royce.

He actively contributes to the global engineering community through IEEE leadership roles, including Associate Editor for IEEE IAS Transactions, Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, and participation in IEEE standards development initiatives.
