How it works
Phase 1 — Product Design (12 Weeks)
Product Design
Students learn core tools & process, then design a real product solution — identified by Welcome Intern’s expert panel — under industry-expert mentorship. Completing this phase fulfills the internship.
Phase 2 — Prototype Development (8 Weeks)
Prototype Development
Qualifying designs — cleared by the industry-expert panel and backed by available funding — extend the internship to build a working prototype.
Beyond The Internship
OPTIONAL Extended Development Engagement (EDE)
A separate, paid engagement for students who continue through to commercial-launch readiness.
