The term “Intern” does not imply employment, worker status, contractor status, compensation, or any hiring obligation, regardless of program duration or track.

- Academic & Professional Information: Educational background, institution, field of study, graduation year, resumes, portfolios, LinkedIn or GitHub profiles
- Program Inputs & Assessments: Skills assessments, internship-related submissions, project deliverables, self-reported responses
- Communications: Messages, feedback, inquiries, and support request.
2.2 Information from Educational Institutions
Where an educational institution partners with Welcome Intern, it may provide limited verification information (e.g., name, institutional email, enrollment status) solely to confirm eligibility or participation in virtual internship programs. Such data is processed under contractual and confidentiality obligations.
2.3 Automated Data & AI Interactions
We may collect:
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, timestamps, interaction logs
- AI-Based Interactions: Inputs and outputs from AI-powered tools (such as career coaches or learning assistants) used to provide functionality, improve service quality, and ensure platform integrity
Interns must not submit sensitive personal data (e.g., health, biometric, financial, or government-issued identification data) through AI tools.
2.4 Virtual Recordings
We may record virtual internship sessions, mentorship meetings, training workshops, or webinars for quality assurance, learning, and internal review purposes. Interns will be notified prior to recording. Continued participation constitutes consent where legally permitted.

- Employers engaging with Welcome Intern are not obligated to hire Interns, and Interns are not required to seek or accept employment.

Participation in Welcome Intern programs does not create an employment, contractor, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between:
- Welcome Intern and Interns
- Interns and employers
- Interns and mentors
- Welcome Intern and employers or mentors
All Intern activities are educational and learning-focused unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.

Sharing of Personal Data

- Employers & Mentors: When an Intern voluntarily participates in employer-sponsored projects, mentorship sessions, or chooses to share a profile
- Service Providers: Vendors supporting hosting, analytics, communications, payments, and platform operations, all bound by data-protection agreements
- Legal & Regulatory Authorities: Where required by applicable law
Employer Interactions
Any interaction between Interns and employers is for educational, project-based, or mentorship purposes only. Welcome Intern does not facilitate employment negotiations, hiring decisions, compensation discussions, or contractual employment relationships.
Shareable Profile Links
If an Intern creates a shareable profile link, anyone with access to the link may view the information chosen for sharing. Interns are responsible for managing access to such links.

Welcome Intern is headquartered in Singapore. Personal data may be processed in Singapore, the United States, or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.
We apply appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), data-processing agreements, and security controls to protect personal data in compliance with applicable laws.
